Leah Holder is a Toronto-based actor, director/ dramaturg, and educator. As a director/ dramaturg she predominantly works in the creation of new work, and also has a wealth of experience in site-specific and found space pieces. She was the Educational Coordinator and Company Dramaturg for Theatre by the Bay (Barrie) from 2020-2024. As an actor she has been featured in work with Theatre By The Bay, Notable Acts Theatre Festival, Thought for Food, Single Thread, Soup Can, as well as several notable commercials. As an educator she teaches workshops on dialect and voice, and is an Artist Educator at Young People’s Theatre.

She is the playwright and lead actor of the sold-out production of Mary of Shanty Bay (TBTB). Leah is a proud member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and the LMDA. She is the winner of an RBC Emerging Artist Grant (TBTB 2016), is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School, and is originally from New Brunswick.
